Hello! I am a Japanese illustrator based in France, currently studying in the MA Children’s Book Illustration course in Cambridge, UK.

My work combines watercolor, ink, gouache, and soft pastels. Observational drawings, along with character and medium explorations in my sketchbook are integral to my practice. Whilst on the course, I have discovered the exciting world of printmaking, opening up new possibilities in my work.

I believe in timeless picturebooks that accompany children (and adults) through different phases of life, offering new experiences with each reading. Having lived as a non-native in many places since childhood, I am drawn to stories of friendship, compassion, and finding one’s place in the world.
