Hello! I am a Japanese illustrator based in France, currently studying in the MA Children’s Book Illustration course in Cambridge, UK.

I work with a range of materials and I love experimenting with them. Observational drawings, along with character and medium explorations in my sketchbook are integral to my practice. During the course, I have also discovered the world of printmaking, opening up new possibilities in my work.

Having lived as a non-native in many places since childhood, I am drawn to stories of friendship, connection, and finding one’s place in the world. I find inspiration for stories in my every day life, and my drawer is full of little sketches and characters just waiting to come alive.
